Hi,
I have a form with a listbox containing about 75 different items.
It would be handy if I enter a character the listbox would jump to the first
matching name.
Alas, entering a character doesn't make my listbox to move...
How can this be done?
Thanks
JP

That capability is offered in a combo box control, as the setting for the
Auto Expand property.

If you really mean a List Box, then I have no idea what
you're talking about. If you actually meant combo box, then
just set its AutoExpand property to Yes

To my knowledge, the list box has that capability. The catch is that it has
to be on the first field of the list box query.

I guess I should have known that the standard windows
behavior would work here. Only excuse is that I don't think
I've ever consciously(?) used it. Thanks for pointing that
out.

Now I don't have any answer as to why it wouldn't work??
