TES --
Yes, you not only lose all versions of the documents except for the current
version, but you also lose the document Owner and Status settings for every
document as well. An alternative approach would be to transfer the entire
Project Workpace from the old project to the new project. This would
transfer everything, including Risks and Issues. Here's how:
1. Ask the PM of the new project to save it and publish it, and to create a
Project Workspace for it when publishing the project.
2. Next, the Project Server administrator should click Server Settings -
Project Workspaces.
3. In the data grid, select the new project and click the Delete Site
button to delete the new Project Workspace.
4. Select the old project and then click the Edit Site button.
5. Highlight the URL in the Site URL field and press Control+C to copy the
URL.
6. Click the Cancel button to close the dialog.
7. Click Server Settings - Delete Enterprise Objects.
8. Select the old project and delete it but DO NOT delete its Project
Workspace.
9. Click Server Settings - Project Workspaces.
10. Select the new project and click the Edit Site button.
11. Select the Site URL field and press Control+V to paste the old URL into
the field.
12. Click the OK button.
The system will attach the old Project Workspace to the new project. You
may then wish to edit the Project Workspace to delete Risks, Issues, or
Deliverables not needed for the new project. Hope this helps.
