Moving mail between folders produces message

I'm trying to move a lot of mail from one folder to another, but
instead of just moving the mail Outlook 2002 asks me if I want to
continue creating a new message. If I say yet, it creates a new
message containing the text from all of the other messages plus all
the attachements. This isn't what I want at all. Sometimes when I
try to move only a small number of email it works properly, so I
assume in my mail list there a message of some sorts that's triggering
this strange behaviour. Does anyone know what the solution is please?
