Moving Mail Between Folders

Hello All,

Is there a way to automatically move a filed mail item from a folder that
has been created in your inbox to a folder of the same name in your personal
folder? I am on the road and use a blackberry to read mail. When I file
the items under the various project names I have to manually move them when
I return to the office. Sometimes this is a problem because my inbox becomes
full until I return to the office and I cannot receive any additional mail.

You might be able to do this with a rule, but Outlook would need to be
open/running at the time.

I had looked at the rules but none of them will allow me to copy from Inbox
folder to same named personal folder.

As far as I can tell, rules operate only on messages in the main Inbox
folder, not on messages in Inbox subfolders, and that's what the OP said was
the case.

You can manually apply a rule to other folders though, can't you?

That seems to be an option, yes. One could make a rule that copies all
messages to one of the desired folders, creating one mesage for each
subfolder, then run each manually, selecting the apporpriate subfolder for
the rule. That is, rules like:

Copy all messages to Personal Folders\X
Copy all messages to Personal Folders\Y
Copy all messages to Personal Folders\Z

Then run rules manually, choosing the first andapplying it to Inbox\X,
choosing the second and applying it to Inbox\Y, and choosing the third and
applying to it Inbox\Z.
