moving multpiple appointments

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to move multiple
appointments on the outlook calendar to another day. At
the moment i am selected each one by clicking the mouse
and holding the shift key down and dragging all items to
the new day, however this can prove "fiddely" when there
are a lot of entries in each day. Is there an
alternative? can i "select all" somehow?

Hold the Ctrl key down whilst selecting the items and drag
them onto the other day keeping the Ctrl key pressed until
moved.

Sorry. I meant Shift not Ctrl.

Is there an alternative to this as we have a large number
of items in the calendar and if you accidently click in
the wrong place it de-selects all items.
