moving note to different page/section

i can't find any info on moving a note outside of its current page.

is there a way to drag a note to a different page/section/workbook?

or, do i have to cut and paste?

If by "note" you mean a container holding text or an image:
A container can only be "moved" by dragging it on the seme page.
For moving it elsewhere one has to use "cut & paste".
