Moving outlook to new computer

The company I work for recently went under. i need to send back my
laptop, but want to keep all my email. Our old exchange server just
went offline. I bought a new laptop, is there a way to copy an .ost or
..pst or something so that i can access all of the old email on this
laptop in the future?

You search for hidden files to include *.pst and copy any found to media and
thence to a Documents folder on the new pc (all with outlook closed), Then
within Outlook on the new pc open these copied files to check the contents
As to *.ost you would need a third party tool to convert to .pst

I think there aren't accounts' settings and filter rules in *.pst files.
