moving rules with text in text box

I have created a simply family tree diagram in a text box, using rules to
show the connection between different branches of the family. How can I
ensure that when the text box is moved (with the text in it) the rules move
with it.

You could use connectors instead of simple lines, but in some Word versions
that requires that you be operating in a drawing canvas.
