moving shapes

When I first started using Visio, when I moved a shape, I could see the shape
itself as I moved it. For example, if I was moving a green circle, I would
click and drag with the mouse and I could see the green circle as I moved it
so I could position it in the correct spot.

Now, I see a box instead of the shape as I move the shape, and when I let
go, the shape reappears.

Is there a setting to change this? I want to see the shape as I move it,
not a box.

Thanks, WapperDude. Very interesting article. Unfortunately, I'm getting a
box around the shape even if it's a single shape (so I'm not exceeding the 25
shape limit). Also, at one point I could see the shape while I was dragging
it, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. This all started happening from
one day to the next, and I don't know why.

Unfortunately, I can't change that Registry Key because it's a work
computer, but I was hoping there is some kind of setting in the program
itself that I don't know about. Thanks again for the reply.
