Moving Tasks ... dragging works on one computer and not the other

R

Rob Schneider

I'm sure I'm doing something stupid, but I cannot drag tasks on the
Gantt chart view one on of my computers. I click on a task and hold
down the left mouse button, then move the mouse pointer. Instead of
moving the task, it selects yet more rows.

This happens on one computer (laptop) but not on the other computer
(desktop). Both running the same patched version of Vista and Project
2003 SP3. Both appear to have the same setup re scroll lock key, etc.
Both have the same settings in Tools/Options/Schedule (autolink inserted
or moved tasks checked off).

This is driving me nuts has I have a lot of "moving" to do this week,
and plan to do it on the laptop!

Thanks!

Tools, Options, Edit, check "Allow cell drag and drop"

Jan,

Ah. That's it. Told you I was doing something stupid. I was looking
everywhere and just didn't "see it".

Thanks

Hope all is well.

Hi Rob,

If it weren't well, I wouldn't be here would I ? :))
And there's nothing stupid about this. So many options, many of them you
would never expect!
