Moving to Active Directory

K

Kerry Saylor

We currently have Project Server 2003 installed, configured and running in
pseudo production mode (post-pilot with real data). We are currently
operating with a local resource pool of about 100 users.

In the coming months, the company will be implementing Active Directory.
Can someone comment on how this migration will affect our Project Server
implementation? I know we have the option not to use AD - however, what
issues might we run into when migrating to AD?

We have heard that we will lose all ACTUALS information from our currently
published projects when we transition to AD. Is this true? What else might
we see?

Thanks for the info!

Kerry:

If you're currently using Windows Authentication, and you're not changing
your domain name or logon names, then your migration to AD should have zero
impact on your Project Server installation.
