Moving to Active Diretory

I have my Office Professional 2003 working just fine on my machine, then I
needed to join a domain in Active Directory.

Okay, I have joined without any hasle, my problem was the first time I tried
to use Office. It states "Installing Microsoft Office", opens the software
(Word, Escel, ...) but never opens the files. In example, if I double click a
Word file it opens Microsoft Word but not the document, only the application.
Then I need to go to File -> Open and open it. Of course after that it works
fine.

When I first installed Office I have choosen install only for this user, but
I have migrated that profile.

What on earth should I do in order to correct that??????

I have already tried to uninstall it, but it says I cant do that. Then I
tried to modify its installation. Same answer.

May someone help me out with this???

Talk to your domain's network administrator. ISTM that they have certain
Group Policies regarding the installation of MS Office in place.

Try "winword /r" from a command line or the Run box.

Or try to right-click a document in Explorer, "Open with..." and select
Word from the list.
