Moving websites to a new computer

My new computer arrives next Tuesday. I have all my original application
disks to install Word, Excel, Project, FrontPage, etc., etc.

I can put my documents, spreadsheets, photos, and the like on the new
computer by COPYING them to an external hard drive from the old computer,
then, attach the external HD to the new computer and COPYING the files from
the external HD to the new computer.

How do I get my websites onto the new computer after installing FP 2003 on
the computer? My websites are in a folder titled WEBS with subfolders for
WEB A, WEB B, WEB C, etc. Should I PUBLISH the websites to the external HD
then PUBLISH them to the new computer, or, can I open the websites on the
host server and PUBLISH from the host server back to my HD?

For some reason I recall that I can't simply copy the webs to the external
HD then copy from there to the new computer.

Thanks.

Yes.
By all means "Publish" the webs to the new location.

You may need to create empty folders on the machine to publish to.

Thanks.

I must be losing what's left of my mind -- after I posted this query I
realized I already knew the answer.

We lost damn near everything we owned in Hurricane Katrina last year. I
replaced my drowned computer with a spare computer that was stashed in a
closet at my parents' home in Tennessee. At that time, I did this:
1. Created new folders on the computer HD.
2. Installed MS FP 2003 on the "new" computer.
3. Accessed the websites on the host site using MS FP.
4. Published from the host to the respective folders on the "new" computer.

I'll do the same thing this time.

Thanks again for verifying the process.
