MPEG 2 in PPT won't run

I have tried to insert a MPEG 2 video into powerpoint and only get a black
box where the video should be. MPEG 1 works fine as does an avi file.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Dear User,

To run MPEG 2 in PPt you can use a mpeg2 to avi converter . Convert the file
and play it on powerpoint.
