.mpeg movie issue

I have created a .ppt presentation and inserted an MPEG movie after placing
both the movie and the presentation in a newly created folder for a short
file path directly under the C: drive. The goal is to package for a CD. I
opted for the save to file rather than the burn direct to CD option. I am
triggering the movie if the person viewing the presentation chooses to click
on a text block "Click Here for More Details". The issue is my movie plays
for exactly 5 minutes, stops and bumps me back to Slide 1. I have viewed the
movie in Windows Media Player to verify the 5.0 minute time lapse. I have
been able to avoid the fault if I move the mouse cursor periodically. Is
there a movie run time limit control. Any other suggestions?

Yes I am running in Kiosk mode. I will check your link and let you know the
outcome. Thanks Echo S for the reply.

Are you running the file in Kiosk mode? It resets automatically (in PPT 2000,
anyway) after 5 minutes of inactivity.

You might check into Chirag's kiosk assistant add-in and set the reset time
for a longer duration. http://officeone.mvps.org/kioskassist/kioskassist.html

Thank you Echo S. The Kiosk Assistant Add-in worked perfectly. Could not
have done it with out your input. Excellent

Wait, wait! I just noticed the line saying "the goal is to package for CD."

Chirag's Kiosk Assistant will need to be installed on the systems that run
the presentation. If you're distributing via CD, it's not a good solution.
If that's the case, the only other way around it I know of is to remove the
kiosk mode setting from the file -- but that might cause other issues.

Or you can ask your CD recipients to download and install the add-in.
They'll have to change their macro security settings to install it....
