mpeg not playing in power point after insertion?

Run the video in MCI Media Player. To do so click Start – Run, and in the
command line type "mplayer.exe" (or "mplay32.exe" for Win2000 or XP) and
click OK.

Find your video and run it there. If it doesn't work in MCI media player, it
won't work in PowerPoint either.

If it works, try shortening the path length. PowerPoint does not accept
media file that is longer than 128 characters. Here's what you can do:
Create a folder in C:\. (e.g. C:\test)
Move your ppt and video file to the folder.
Re-insert the video and see if it works this time round.
