mpp file check utility to run on crashed mpp files

Is there a file check utility/tool to run on mpp files in 2003 and 2007
format? We have created mpp files in Project Pro 2003 and then opened and
saved them in Project Standard/Pro 2007. We are experiencing crashes left and
right in File>Save and or File Close. Project Pro 2003 SP2 and Project Pro
2007 SP1. We have uninstalled/reinstalled MS Office 2007 SP1 and both Project
versions multiple times. Multiple Error Reporting and Event View Erros
indicated problems with the faulting module winproj.exe v 12.0.6327.500 stamp
48ab0e58 0x00141ea7. Sometimes I'll see references to fault address
0x00141ed3, 0x000ec302, and faulting module ntdll.dll v5.1.2600.2180, fault
address 0x00011fcb.

RayG,
Not sure if this will help, but the latest update for Project 2003 is
SP3. It's worth a shot.

Thanks John, However, we have now moved off of 2003 Pro and now running 2007
Pro as we have moved the files onto our own customized version of EPM 2007.
The files on 2007 Pro are still crashing. I believe the problem lies in the
mpp files before they went to 2007 or on the server, so that's why I'm
looking for a utility to check the integrity of the mpp files.

Have you tried them on different machines? If you want to donate the file,
I'll tell you what happens on my machine (I have both P2003 and P2007
available).

Jim, yes this is an issue with ~10 of us/laptops in our group.
Unfortunately I can't donate the file.
Thanks for th offer of assistance. I'm still hoping for a file check utility.

A quick check is to save the file to .xml format then close and open the xml
file. Any possible corruption in the binary data will have been left behind.
An missing data is likely to have been corrupt in some way.
