MS Access 2002 display corrupt

We run MS Access to do queries using ODBC to get to an
Oracle database. When we upgraded to MS Access 2002 and
Windows XP our queries started taking longer and we're
having many more problems with the windows being blank or
the displays corrupted after trying to switch to another
application while the MS access query is running.

Our users say that these problems were never this bad
using Win98 and Access 2000.

We have applied all updates to Win XP and MS Office XP,
and still have the problems. Also have checked for
hardware display incompatabilities and found none (video
drivers are up to date).
