"MS Access has encountered a problem..." error message

Every time I run a certain Append Query through a macro the following error
message appears:
"MS Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience."
There is an error report but can't work out what is wrong. When I run the
query manually it works ok but not through a macro.

Any help would be appreciated.
