MS Access

Have Windows XP professional 2003.
Imagined that MS Access was one of the standard programs bundled with the
PC when I bought it.
But cannot find it.
Other programs like EXCEL, WORD, POWER POINT were included with the
machine.

It would seem you're making the very common and understandable error of
confusing the WindowsXP *OPERATING SYSTEM* with the OfficeXP *application
program suite*. Microsoft doesn't make this easy!

Word, Excel, PowerPoint... and Access... are not part of the operating system.
They are separate, independent programs which run under the operating system.

You can have WindowsXP without having any of these programs installed.
Access2003 is one of the programs in the Office 2003 Professional suite of
application programs, or it can be purchased separately.

Check with whoever sold you the PC to clarify what OEM (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) programs came with it; my guess is that it included the Office
"standard" suite, not Office Pro.
