MS Clip Art into MS Paint into PowerPoint

Hi All:

I've pulled a clip offline to use in a presentation, and
am editing the background (in Paint) to make it a pale
yellow to match the center of the PowerPoint slide
background. However, when I select the object in Paint,
and paste into PowerPoint, I end up getting a white block
around the object instead of pale yellow.....? Any
suggestions on how to fix? All ideas welcome!

TIA,
Sandi

One thing you can try is to change the clipart colors within PowerPoint.
Not all images will work this way, but it is worth a try. Insert your
clipart image onto a slide. Right-click the image and select "Grouping",
"Ungroup" (if available). You will get a dialog box, click "Yes".
Right-click again and click "Grouping", "Ungroup". Now you can click off
the ungrouped parts, re-click on a part you want to change, and use the fill
and line colors of the Drawing Toolbar to change. When done, you can select
the entire thing and regroup it.

Hope this helps!
