Hi,

I have been happily saving an Excel 2007 macro enabled workbook on a
Sharepoint 2007 mysite location ( default personal documents ) folder for
several weeks now without any problems.

Today on one specific workbook I got macro warnings ( unual as it is a
trusted site ).

When I click "Ok" to accept enabling the macro, I can see the file downloads
from Sharepoint [ progress-bar ], but no workbook opens in the client [
apparently ] ie: screen continues to show "Book 1" if I opened excel prior to
attempting to open the file.

If I close workbook "Book 1" and try to exit Excel, it tells me the file I
"opened" which downloaded but did not open; IS open and asks if I want to
save the changes.

If I download the .xlsm file to my desktop I have the same issue with the
file, as do colleagues I have mailed the downloaded file to. How can I
recover the file content???

Hopefully,
Geoff

Of course if you HIDE the workbook it's hidden... and if you dont remeber
you hid it, you won't have the sense to unhide it either.... oh dear, how
embarrassing :D

Hi Geoff ,

Maybe your excel file is corrupt. You can try a popular Excel file
recovery tool called Advanced Excel Repair to repair your Excel file.
It is a powerful tool to repair corrupt or damaged Excel files.

Detailed information about Advanced Excel Repair can be found at
http://www.datanumen.com/aer/

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/aer.exe
