MS giving Office 2003 free?

Khechog

Hi, I have a friend who has told me MS are giving Office 2003 away as a
freebie because it's old. I'm dubious at best but don't want to call him on
this unless I'm 100% sure he's wrong. Can anyone please give me an
authoritive answer to whether he's telling the truth or is just deluding
himself (& maybe other people)?

Thank you,

K

Definitely not true. It's still being sold in retail outlets. Not even true of the oldest versions you could find (eg Version 4 from
way back in 1994).

Cheers

Does he also believe in the Easter bunny, and Santa Claus? This is in
the same category.

Ask your friend to give you the proof, such as a link on MS, that this is
being done. Have him prove himself right, rather than you trying to prove
him wrong.

BTW, he is wrong.

That offer has lapsed. Your friend was referring to rather old offer which has
been rescinded by MS because of low take-up by the general public!.

However, they do have another offer but it lasts for a limited period only.
Try this link:

http://trial.trymicrosoftoffice.com....aspx?re_ms=oo&family=officepro&culture=en-GB

You will need to provide a correct email address so that you are given the
serial number to install by email!.

Good luck in your pursuit of MS products.
