MS Office 2000 Word error

Upon trying to open a file in MS Word 2000, I get the
following error, "There is not enough memory or disk space
to complete the operation". However, if I start with a
blank screen, not open document 1, it loads a file ok. MS
Word also opens and closes extremely slow while other apps
like Access or Excel work quickly and fine. My hardware
tests OK.

I've reloaded the app from my CD but the problem is still
there.

Can anyone help me and e-mail me a solution? Thank you in
advance.
