MS OFFICE 2002

S

SuzieBeck

I had the above programs successfully loaded on my hard
drive and working properly. I got a new computer and
physically moved the existing hard drive to the new
computer and made it secondary to the new hard drive in
the new computer.

The drive works, the programs run, except for the MS apps.
All the files and short cuts display, but when I try to
use them they open to the first screen normally and then
the message "cannot open due to missing .dll, re install
the program." THEN, when I attempt to reinstall the
reinstall program runs forever, nothing happens, then my
computer freezes and shuts down OR it tells me I have an
invalid product key, and this is the disk I was always
using and inserting for updates, etc.

Now what? I REALLY need my Front Page for my web sites.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You have to re-install them, as many of the Office files must be located on the C drive., and the
Windows Registry will need to be updates.

If you put the drive back in the original computer, then use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
If the old machine is not running Windows XP, then on the new machine you can click on to see how to
use and then you can transfer all of your emails, browser and MS Office applications to your new
machine.
