MS Office 2003 installation error -- space unavailable on Drive D

K

Kamran

Hello,
I previously used the MS uninstaller msicuu2.exe on my Vista machine. It
ruined my entire Office setup, in addition to a whole bunch of other
applications. Thanks for the warning, Microsoft.

Now I'm trying to reinstall Office. Why do I keep getting an error message
saying there isn't enough space on the CD drive (D:), when the destination
drive is C? It stops me there and I can go no further.

Could you explain why did you use this tool in the first place?
There are warnings everywhere on the download page and it looks
like you were more interested in the download of the tool rather
than reading what that tool is for.

If you are having problems with "whole bunch of other
applications" then clearly you should seriously consider resetting
your system to factory settings and start all over again. You
have to back up your documents, emails, music files and photos
before you consider this approach.

Same question as posed by LD55ZRA . Why did you use that tool. Obviously what
happens is what you got now as an issue.
Now you need to remove all of your Office Programs including the Activation
Assistant and all installed Updates and anything to do with\for Office and the start
re-installing after saving the needed files that you like to keep.

You posted the same Q on the 28th, did the answers not work?
Unless you misused the installer clean up tool it would have had no impact
on 'other' apps
Perhaps you have a fundamental problem with your system that needs
addressing
