MS Office 2007 - problems

P

Premal

I installed Office 2007 last week and would like to uninstall it and go back
to Office 2003 that I was using before.

I was not able to see Office 2003 in my "Add or remove program" under
"Control panel." Does this mean Office 2003 is upgraded automatically to
Office 2007? How can I reverse this?

Thank you.

During 2007 install, the question is asked "Keep Previous Version." If
you didn't check this. You will have to reinstall 2003.

As a double check, look in Start|Programs|Microsoft. If 2003 is not
listed along with 2007, then 2003 was indeed uninstalled.

Uninstall Office 2007, reboot, insert your Office 2003 installation disk,
click on the setup button.

Thank you all for your answer.

You know I was dumb enough to slect "upgrade" while installing Office 2007.
And now my Office 2003 istallation won't work. I bouth it from an internet
download site. Any suggestions?

Once Office 2007 is sold commercially I believ I wuld need to pay for it to
use it.

Thanks.

I don't think you can buy Office 2003 as a download (correct me if I'm
wrong, folks) so I'd say that you'll have to go out a purchase a 2003
disk... or just keep using 2007 until it's available for purchase.

You can pay Microsoft to continue using Office's trial version, which can be
downloaded. If the OP didn't get it from them, no clue where. Chances are
he/she is up a very famous creek.

If you'd done any research you would see that Soft4Download does not have a
good reputation. You may be out a bit of money. Didn't it dawn on you that
it was a bit too cheap to be legal?

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately my research was not enough to identify Soft4Download as an
un-reputed company. During my research I noticed several such companies that
sell software for downloads only. Are all of them not trust worthy?

I guess my only option is to buy this software is from stores like Best Buy,
Circuit City, etc.

I purchased it on www.Soft4Download.com. I was provided with s/n and it
has
been workking fine since more than a year now. May be Office 2007 caused
an
unrecoveable problem.

If you can buy $500 worth of software for $69, why would you think they are
legit?

I recommend Amazon.com. The prices are pretty good and you will have the CDs
in hand.
