MS Office 2007 - reinstallation after hard drive factory restore

D

David Wess

I had Microsoft Office 2007 installed on my Sony Vaio notebook computer.
Because of hard drive corruption, I had to utilize the Vaio restore DVD's to
return my computer to original factory configuration, erasing everything on
the hard drive. I did NOT uninstall Office first. I have the Office
installation DVD and product key. Is there anything special I need to do in
order to reinstall Office? Will I experience an activation issue?

And, a related question - how many installs am I entitled to with the same
cd key? I am under the impression it is two or three. How can I find out how
many installations I have done, and how many are still available?

Uninstall any trial first.
Use phone activation if on line fails - it maight depend on the time scale
since origonal install.
You can install as often as you like, its the version of Office you have
that may limit it to the number of PC's it can concurrently be installed on.
