ms office file closes automatically

hi..

ms office 2003 is installed on xp pc. the word (.doc) file is of size 1.6
mb. whenever i print the content of that file, it get automatically close
after printing is completed.

what may be the problem... pls suggest...

How are you printing? If you're right-clicking a file (in Windows Explorer
or a file dialog) and choosing Print, then what you're seeing is normal. If
you're opening the file and then printing, then there likely is a problem
with the document (might be corrupted). Does it print okay?

i m opening the word file & then printing it. this is happening with all
files. print is ok. but when i open the file again, i get the message that
THE FILE IS RECOVERD FROM PREVIOUS DAMAGE. WOULD YOU LIKE TO OPEN THE LAST
SAVED FILE......

I have reinstalled ms office 2003.
but the same status...

any help

My guess is that there is a problem with the printer driver. You should
visit your printer mfg website and see if there is an updated driver. If
that's not the problem, it might be a corrupted normal.dot, add-in
(something that affects printing), or registry entry, all of which are
addressed in the following article, which deals with a host of issues, not
just opening Word:
