MS Office Picture Manager and Windows Photo Gallery

I noticed that my 'Picture and Fax Viewer' has automatically been replaced by
'Windows Photo Gallery'. I was very happy with the old program, but who am I
to argue. I believe that 'MS Office Picture Manager' is more like the old
"Picture and Fax Viewer' but this program has a problem. Everytime I try and
access this program, the Activation Wizard makes his appearance and guess
what, disaster. I assume the program has to be activated to use it's
features. I just can't get this right. I am using Vista Home. Could someone
please clarify this issue.

If you want to get 'Windows Picture & Fax Viewer' back as the defaul
image viewer, do this:

Right-click on a jpeg file, select 'Open As'

In the list of applications, highlight "Windows Picture and Fa
Viewer"
Tick the little box below the list, "Always use the selected program t
open this type of file".

Click 'OK'

Now when double-click any jpeg file it should open in Picture & Fa
Viewer.

If you want other image-types to open in Picture & Fax Viewer as well
you'll have to repeat the above procedure for each of those types i
turn
