MS Office Pro. Ed. 2003 Evaluation

I ordered and received the 2003 Office Professional and the 2003 Visio Evaluation. But when I try to install either one I get the following Error

"The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact support personnel for assistanCan somebody help me out?
