MS Office Publisher 2007-double spacing

I installed MS Office Publisher 2007. I had MS Publisher 2000. In the 2000
version, I became unable to single space any text document I created. It
transferred to 2007 version. I have done everything that I know of to correct
this problem. Any Ideas?
