MS Office Shortcut Bar - 2007

This may be a redundant question, but here goes--
I just installed Office Pro 2007. I had Office Pro 97 before and loved the
Office Shortcut Bar that I used to keep on the side of my desktop for
frequently used apps, like Word, Excel, calculator, etc. Does Off 2007 have
a shorcut bar? Thank you in advance.

The Office Shortcut Bar is not included in Office 2003 or 2007. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822573 for suggested workarounds, one
of which is to custom-install the OSB feature from an earlier version of
Office.

Office shortcut bar was dropped as of the 2003 version. With WinXP or 2000,
you can add those shortcuts to the Quick-Launch bar. See

Thank you. I do have a previous version (Off Pro 97) and have used it, but
it doesn't work right. It used to always appear in my Startup, but doesn't
anymore. I have to go get it, if I want it.

So create a shortcut in your Windows startup folder to "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Office\Msoffice.exe" (you may need to
modify the path if you installed the Office 97 shortcut bar to a
different location).
