Helo. I have MS Office 2003 Pro and it doen't want to work. All started from
freezing. When I wanted to write something it was completely freezing. Then
it said to solve this problem, istall latest updates from MS Web Site. I did
it. And after that, when i tried to start Word or Exell errom message came
out: "Microsoft Word has not been installed forn the current user. Please run
setup to install the applications." I am only one user of the computer. I
have tried to uninstall and to install MS Office again! But nothing happend!
I am really sick of it. I need to do my work and it doesn't work!

Before you do anything else, try to find a Restore Point when everything was
running well and run Systems Restore. It will do no harm to try it!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! PROBLEM RESOLVED BY LOADING FROM SYSTEM RESTORE POINT!
CAN I UPDATE MY MS OFFICE THROUGH THE MICROSOFT WEB SITE? I AM AFRID OF IT
NOW BECAUSE MY PROBLEMS STARTED AFTER I HAVE DOWNLOADED UPDATE. OR THE
PROBLEM WAS CAUSED NOT BY THE UPDATE? THANK YOU ANYWAY!

Now that you know which Restore Point will bring back your PC to the correct
working stage, you can safely try and download all the Updates from MS web
that you require. Download only those that will affect the parts of Office
you installed. E.g. do not download security Updates for Office Outlook if
you are using OE, or you may have problems with your Spam Control if you
have installed any. After you download all the Updates and everything works
OK create a Restore Point, so that if anything does wrong you will know to
what point to go back. Before you do that check your PC for viruses. Some of
those will create the kind of situation you described. If you do not have a
good Antivirus and a good Firewall protection both Updated automatically,
you are inviting trouble. Let us know how you got on. Good luck!
