Sarah

I have a notenook with a Bluetooth connection.
The Bluetooth connection is indispensable to me as many devices uses this
connection to communicate with my notebook.

Last week my Bluetooth device refused to start and showedthe following error
message:

*************************************************************
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program: C:\Program Files\Widcomm\Bluetooth Software\BTTray.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
*************************************************************

I did send a question to the Bluetooth manufacturer, Widcomm, repporting
this problem and their answer was:

*************************************************************
Hello,
In event of such an error you are requested to get a update for your MS
office as well as your BT drivers.
However since you are using a 2035 BT device it is not supported for online
update.

Hence to resolve the issue please do the following :
1. Uninstall the BT drivers you have.
2. Get an update for MS office.
3. Now install the BT drivers from your CD. This should solve the issue.

Regards,
BT Support

What update for MS Office is he talking about?

TIA,

Sarah

The reference to Office update may be a cover yourself response. In any
case, you could go to Microsoft Update or Office Update and install any
Office updates offered.
