MS OfficeOnline pages appear with text size way too large

MSN webpages, mainly Office Online, appear in a text size which allows my
monitor to display 4-12 characters/page. I've troubleshooted this to the
n-th... No, its not within any of the settings I've checked and quadruple
checked (including the super-obvi.: View->TextSize->smallest). Nothing
seems to override this unwanted obesity taking over my desktop... Please any
suggestions, reccommendations, justifications &/or quantifications... I'm all
ears!

(cache) and cookies.
