MS Outlook 2007 and GoogleMail

I'm sure this has been posted before but I cannot find it!

I've only ever used Outlook with an ISP provided email service.
Can I download emails from web-based Gmail to Outlook 2007 (under XP)?
If so, how please? Is there a paper anywhere on it?
