MS Outlook Contacts Backup.pst won't work.

When I created a ContactsBackup.pst, itshowed as a file but came up blank.I
tried it several times but could not get it to show anything in the file.

Explain the exact process you're using, including the version of Outlook,
and perhaps someone can tell you.
