MS Photo Editor no longer lists .jpg file types

I had to reinstall Windows (2000 w/ SP4) and Office (2000), and I notice that
Photo Editor will no longer open my .jpg files, and doesn't list .jpg as a
file type in the save dialog box.

Checked the converters and filters in setup, no avail.

Know how I can to fix this?
