MS progrom that allows frontpage to dispaly non-typical font?

Chuck

There used to be a small MS program that allows the use in a fp website of
non-typical fonts. I haven't needed it for a whil and now, well, can't find
it (of course). It worked very well.

Does any one know where I can get a copy of it. MS had it about two or
three years ago as a free download.

What it did was sort of embed a non-typical font in the website so the user
could view it as you intended even if that particular font was not installed
on the user's computer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Google for WEFT

It requires users to download and install the font, which many will not
do.

And it doesn't work on Mac browsers. But otherwise, it's well, not worth
the effort.

Check out WEFT at: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/WEFT.mspx. Keep in
mind that this isn't always a good idea to use non-standard fonts. Some
users will get it blocked as a blocked download, it will take more time for
the page to download, and there are lots of people out there that won't be
able to see the font due to using a non-IE browser.

Hope this helps,
