MS Project 2002 WEB Access is too slow through Internet

Hi All.
MS Project 2002 WEB Access is too slow through Internet.
It takes minutes to open another page.
What can be wrong?
Internet itself seems to be OK. There are SharePoint sites
installed on the same computer and they works fine through
Internet.
Both MS Project and SharePoint works fine in local Intranet.
The OS is Windows Server 2003.

Evgeniy:

The difference is the amount of data you're shipping across the line and the
additional burden of SSL if you've deployed Project Server in a secure way.
If you're going to use PWA over the Internet without using Terminal
Services, you may need to adjust the SQL timeout settings for your site. You
can set this in the registry or by using the EditSite tool available at
http://download.microsoft.com
