We currently have a problem on 37 of our projects. When opening them
in MS Project 2003 a message appears - 'There was an error opening the
enterprise resource pool. You may not have sufficient permission to
access the selected resource(s). Would you like to retry?' To get
the project to open we have to hit cancel. The project then opens,
but on the resource usage sheet only information relating to that one
project appears. This happens to Administrators and Project Managers.
We also have the same problem if we try to create new projects using
our standard template.
This problem has happened once before and our IT department
reinstalled a back-up copy of the database as a short-term solution.
This did work at the time but the problem has now arisen again. We
don't really want to go down the route of installing an older back-up
if we can help it.
We're really struggling with one. Can anyone give us some
help/advice?
