MS Project 2003 Multi Project View

We have some projects and we would like to see and analze them together in
terms of their performance. Is there a way of showing projects together
within same view? For example, we can see only one project in "Tracking
Gantt" view, however is it possible to see 5 projects at the same time in
this view?

In 2003, you need to insert the plans into a Master Project (this can be
temporary) to analyze them together.

If you are referring to PWA, then the answer is no in the 2003 version. You
cannot see detailed schedule data like the Tracking Gantt view for multiple
projects via PWA. FYI, for 2007, you can publish master plans to the server
and drill into the master plan to do Tracking Gantt for example on all the
projects in the master at once.

If you are referrign to Project Pro, then you can create a temporary master
plan, embed the plans you want and can then do some of the reporting you are
asking for.

If i use Master Project and add projects as subtasks of master project and
open my customized view, then I see "#error" in custom fields. This does not
help.

Refer to the following FAQ for a neat trick to rapidly create the master
project to which Gary Chefetz refers:

After creating the master project using the trick in the FAQ, you can expand
every project and apply any Task view you wish, such as the Tracking Gantt
view. Hope this helps.

Did you hit the F9 to recalculate your fields. If you are still receiving
#error in your custom fields then they are not defined correctly.
