Hi,

I am wondering. With my installation default was set to manual scheduling?
Or are you working with project server? In this case you will get what your
administrator defined.

If you work locally, you can change the default: File - Options - Schedule.
Change 'Scheduling options for this project' to 'All New Projects' and 'Auto
schedule tasks scheduled on' to 'Manually Scheduled'.
To change mode on existing tasks, add column 'Task Mode' or use 'General'
tab of 'Task Information'.

Hope that helps?

Barbara

Since Manual Scheduling only works with the Project 2010 file format, please
make sure your MPP is saved in the proper format.
And now that we have launched Project 2010 I would recommend you un-install
the Beta version and install the RTM version instead. Trial download is
here: http://www.microsoft.com/project/en/us/try-buy.aspx
