MS Project add-in and internet explorer

Hello,

I have encountered the following problem :
I'm sending an e-mail notification to users about an .mpp file being changed
and the mail contains the url to this file (somewhere on the web)
When I click the link, internet explorer asks me if I want to save or open
the file, then i click open. And here comes my problem :
If I have my MS Project add-in activated and MSProject application is not
started, iexplorer returns a message that the page could not be opened. But
if the add-in is disabled, or MSProject is started (with active add-in)
iexplorer opens the file without porblems.

I have also tryed to return directly from ThisAddIn_Startup method, so no
actions are taken in my Add-in, but the result is the same. It seems that
even the presence of my add-in is not ok with iexplorer. Is there anyhing I
can do about this? Some configuration around the add-in i do not know about ?

Well this is something I can live with, but the customers are customers and .
... Does anybody have an idea why is this happening?

Thanks

Perhaps your add-in has project running in the background but invisible.
Check in the task manager to see if it is running.
