Dear Curious...
Project 2003 is not backward compatible to Project Server
2002 or Project Central. Here's the actual message you
get when you attempt to open a Project Server 2002
schedule with Project 2003:
You are opening projects or resources from a Microsoft
Project Server 2002 database that has not been upgraded
to contain the additional fields required by the new
features of Project 2003. Until the database is
upgraded, you will only be able to open projects and
resources as read-only. If you want to save changes back
to Microsoft Project Server 2002, click Help for
information on how to upgrade the database tables.
