how do i add an overhead cost to the total cost of my project in MS Project?

Do you mean a fixed overhead cost or a % overhead on the total or on tasks
or exatly what?

The project-level summary task becomes visible when you enable it in the
Tools, Options, View menu. Activate it and in the Gantt chart switch to the
cost table. Enter project-level costs in the Fixed Cost cell for the
Project Summary task.

i would like to add a percentage overhead onto the total cost that Project
has calculated.

Hi,

Steve already answered the question for a fixed overhead.
Except through little VBA programming, there is no automatic way for a %
uplift.
