MS Project recommends number of resources?

In "dynamic scheduling" by Eric Uyttewaal. Chapter four, Entering
Estimates, Page 190, under Fixed Work Tasks, second to the last
sentence states "From this point MS Project can derive for you the
number of resources you need". However, I don't think Project tells
you the number of resources you need anywhere. The procedure
following the sentence tell you how to enter the data but doesn't back
up the sentence with telling you how to see the results. ie Projects
recommended number of resources

Did I miss something?

Hi Robert,

In FixedWork tasks, when you enter the desired duration, Project calculates
the number of resource units you need.
Suppose: Work 40 hrs, you enter 2 days (8hr) of duration, Project ssets the
assignment units to 250% or 2,5 depending on an option.
That is the amount of resources you need.

Thanks Jan, that makes sense but where is that information displayed,
if I have not assigned any resources?
I inserted the "assignment units" column but it contains no data.

Only assignments (a resource assigned to a task) have units so no
resource=no assignment=no units.
Hope this helps,
