MS Project Server 2007 - Changeing the Owner of the project

I am having problems with changing the owner of projects on the Project
Center. I highlight the project, click Edit Project Properties. I get a
message "This project has unpublished data. You may not be aware of all the
updates that would be published if you choose to publish. If you are not the
Project Manager, then check with them to ensure you are not publishing such
data". I check the project and it is published and checked in. If I go
ahead and use the drop down box to select the new Owner, I then Save and
Publish, the message is removed. However there is no change to the project
on the Project Center Page.

Could this be a settings or authority problem? I was told I had "all the
authority I needed to do this" by the server admin.

Hi, are you on the lastest updates? There was a bug (pre SP1 I think) that
meant you actually had to change another non-list field for the change to be
made. If you have an enterprise project field which is just a text field,
try changing that too and then republishing.

It is definitely not access issue as it would not allow you to change the
owner on the first place.

What does the owner field in Project Center says is the new owner name seen
there ?

what changes where you expecting to see ?

Well that was an easter egg. Your suggestion of changing the enterprise text
field at the same time worked.

I asked our Admin and he says that we are not at SP1 on MSPS. So that zeros
in on the problem.

Thanks!!
