MS Project Server

I have a Project Manager who has resources that she must make Active every
day. Not sure how she set up the resources but they all become Inactive every
day after she goes in and activates them the previous day.
This is MS Project Server 2003 SP1, MS Project 2003.

One thing that might cause this is if AD synchronization was set to run, but
never setup correctly. To check this, logon to PWA with an Admin logon and
go to Admin > Manage users and groups > Groups and expand the Active
Directory options at the bottom of the page and make sure that the radio
button for "Update only when specified" is selected.

If this is the case, it should affect all users. If not, we need to know
what's unique about this particular group of users.

Gary, thanks for the response. The AD synch was set to run. I changed the
setting to "Update only when specicied". Then checked this morning and all of
the users that should be Active were still Acitve. There was a setting for
"Update every day at 12:00 am". In the Active Directory Group to Synch" only
one group from the AD was listed and it was not the one that included users
who would be reset to Inactive. What exactly does the "AD group to Synch" do?
And should I have it set to run everyday and should it include groups that
contain all users?

DR:

AD-Synch synchronizes your Project Server Users with Active Directory. If
the users aren't in the specified groups, it deactivates them. Hence your
problem. If you want to use AD Synch, you should read the instructions for
setting it up correctly. I believe this is covered in both the Project
Server Administration guide.
